Los Angeles, California (April 10, 2018) — SCORE (www.score.org), mentors to America’s small businesses, in partnership with Thryv, is hosting a seminar about online marketing strategy tactics to aid small business owners. SCORE is committed to helping entrepreneurs build and market their small businesses and the SCORE/Thryv Build an Effective Online Presence: Online Listings, Social Media and Beyond seminar helps entrepreneurs with best practices for using online marketing tools. Last year, Los Angeles SCORE helped start 456 new businesses and provided 8,819 total chapter services.
This SCORE/Thryv seminar will cover: basics such as managing your online presence, customer relationship management systems, and social media, in addition to advanced tools including the power of video. SCORE also offers free and confidential mentoring sessions in addition to the seminar.
“This seminar will help small business owners improve their organization’s presence online, know how to effectively use the tools available to increase sales, and measure their success,” said SCORE Chapter President James Fitzhugh. “We want to spread the word about all the great small businesses in our community. Helping small business owners fine-tune their online marketing efforts really makes a difference in name recognition,” adds Fitzhugh.
This seminar will be held on May 10, 2018, starting at 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Los Angeles SCORE office at 330 North Brand Boulevard, Glendale, California 91203. About SCORE and SCORE LA
Since 1964, SCORE has been the premier small-business mentoring service in the U.S. The nonprofit resource partner of the Small Business Administration has about 320 chapters and more than 11,000 business expert mentors who give free help so that small businesses and entrepreneurs can successfully start and grow their businesses. In 2017 SCORE nationally helped start 54,506 new small businesses and created 61,534 non-owner jobs. SCORE’s client base is 60% women and 39% were minorities.
The SCORE LA chapter helps small businesses get established and grow by providing free business resource information, free expert mentoring and low-cost educational workshops. SCORE LA has been offering these services for many years and in 2016 enhanced its aid to the sprawling Los Angeles area by adopting a “subchapter” setup that better matches programs to the population(s) of five regions of L.A.
